Chopper for sale
Price: £125,000 Each
Description
Triumph T120 650cc Hard Tail Chopper. 1974 engine. Runs great, gearbox good. Cylinders bored and new pistons fitted during rebuild 5 years ago. Less that 200 miles run in since.
There are loads of Harley choppers out there, but finding a proper Triumph chopper from back in the day really is unusual and a piece of British motorcycle history. This had been sitting untouched in a lockup in Leeds for years when I found it. There was a bit of condensation rust in the cylinders and someone had sprayed the engine gold! But it had survived.
Boyer electronic timing and ignition. Boyer coil, Boyer power box, Mini lithium battery. All lights changed to LED (apart from headlight) so it draws practically no power. Wiring renewed and electronic controller for the lights added. Carbs have just been cleaned, rebuilt and balanced and oil and filter changed as it was sitting for a bit. Avons are 5 years old and like new.
Uncle Bunt custom built frame (paint stripped, welds and tubes checked and then powder coated). Low Brow Customs Sissy bar, rear mudguard and oil tank added, Engine soda blasted and rebuilt (painted in gold paint when I found it), tank stripped and resprayed, external oil filter conversion, new oil pressure release valve, oil pressure gauge fitted, new fork seals and oil, new brake fluid, Mikuni carbs with new rubber gaskets & K&N filters, Venhill braided front brake line added, oil pressure gauge added, speedo added purely as a digital volt meter, new throttle cables, La Pera spring mounted seat, spoked Triumph wheels (most likely from the original cannibalised bike). Loads of other stuff done along the way. Genuine 70’s/80’s chopper that I’ve fixed up and added new parts and some modern bits to to make it safer and useable.
No road tax/MOT required as registered as an historic vehicle.
